With the new Star Wars film coming out, everyone seems pretty excited about Star Wars and I’m seeing lots of party ideas all over for it. You can see all of my ideas and printables for Star Wars parties here!
Below I rounded up some of the best around:
Decorations can make the party. And that’s especially true with these printables from Printabelle.com because they include dozens of tent cards with cute & clever names for treats you might serve at your party. Printabelle offers a FREE set of Star Wars printables, along with (very) inexpensive premium printables as well.
Since Disney bought the Star Wars franchise, Princess Leia is like a “Disney Princess!” The upcoming films promise strong female characters, too. Here’s a fun way for your girly guests to emulate Leia’s iconic hairstyle from Craft Interrupted!
The ladies at Sweet Craft Cakes said they created these poncho-style jedi robes for their Star Wars party guests “…with a painters drop cloth. I measured my son and cut the drop cloth to the appropriate size for each child.
What a fun and simple tutorial to add Stormtrooper helmet designs to jumbo marshmallows. Cute and easy, and could work as a party activity, too!
I just added this fun Star Wars Bingo printable game here at Printabelle! It makes for a fun quiet activity at a party or just after school!
Your guests might not be ready to face off against a floating lightaber-training droid shooting laser beams at them, but you gotta start somewhere. And how many films feature swinging at something floating around with a stick? While blindfolded? Pinatas are perfect for Star Wars parties!
You can find a Death Star pinata tutorial here. Also, Amazon offers a whole range of Star Wars pinatas, including Darth Vader, The Force Awakens, Clone Wars cartoon, original trilogy, etc.
Dress up your lightsaber (a.k.a., broom handle) with silver duct tape (perhaps with a black electrician-tape design on top of that). Use vividly colored duct tape for the “blade,” and you’re ready to party!
You can find long bubble wands everywhere, including dollar and “big box” stores. with some duct and electrician’s tape, you can decorate the handle to make a lightsaber gift for your guests, like these from Hostess with the Mostess. Since bubbles are more fun to swat at with toy lightsabers than the fellow guests these wands/lightsabers make a fun party activity, too.
Mummy Deals wraps crudités — like carrot or celery sticks — in a bit of foil and you have mini lightsabers your young guests will all enjoy. Use the force — and the ranch dip!
Put the “stars” in your Star Wars party with a starry projector light! This is especially fun if you’re staging a movie viewing party or are hosting the party at night. You can buy an inexpensive star projector on Amazon or even make your own.
Print this free R2-D2 pattern printable on regular paper. Then, cut to fit on a white lunch bags, and use glue stick to attach.

12. Sarlacc Cake
Kathleen at Yummy Crumble says this buttery caramel flavored moist bundt cake is drizzled with homemade salted caramel sauce and dusted with Biscoff Cookie Crumbles. Two Biscoff madeleines with salted caramel buttercream teeth make the monster of this Star Wars Sarlacc Bundt Cake.
