My daughter and I had fun making some patriotic popcorn for the 4th of July! Our local store had mini M&M’s and Captain America cereal, star sprinkles, and tiny, red sprinkles and white chocolate candy melts to make it all stick together.
It’s also a super quick and easy treat. We bagged it up in cellophane bags and gave it to all of our neighbors, along with homemade flag cookies. There’s lots of other fun things that could be added in, like the red, white and blue circus animal cookies, Jelly Bellys, or any patriotic candy or treat.
Laying out the popcorn in a single layer on the parchment paper. Melted white chocolate candy melts on half of the popcorn. That way the toppings will stick before it dries. We added the toppings to it while the candy melts are still wet. Then we did the same thing on the second half.
Here it is in all of its 4h of July goodness!
Happy 4th of July!
